Early childhood education in Norway
Bio: Siri E. Haug holds a master’s in Social Anthropology and has been working with international relations since 2007. She has been working as international coordinator at Queen Maud University College of Early Childhood Education for 1,5 years and loves to interact with incoming and outgoing students. Siri enjoys riding bicycle to work, even during winter, and most of her spare time is spent with her 2 year old son.
Bio: Rasmus Kolseth Rian holds a master’s in Media, Communication and Information technology. Rasmus has been working with international relations since 2015 and has been working in Queen Maud University College of Early Childhood Education’s international office for a year. Rasmus loves to motivate students to study abroad, he is also a keen guitar player and a soccer enthusiast.

What do Norwegians think are important values for children to learn? What life skills are important and why? In this presentation we will give an introduction to Norwegian early childhood education and among all talk about concepts such as outdoor play and risky play.
