Heilig Graf, Turnhout, one of the oldest schools in Belgium, has 354 years of tradition in ‘Kwaliteit en vernieuwing’ in education. This title of quality and innovation has been the driving force in the STEM and CLIL initiatives at the school in recent years.
In this workshop we will talk about our experience so far and the way CLIL is organised at our school: subjects, teachers, and the school’s future plans. We’ll share some pre-teaching strategies (Quizlet and flip classes) as well as didactics (variety of work forms) used in class to encourage the target language. The way we assess and evaluate our pupils will also be discussed. There will be time for questions at the end.
